It's Easy To Find What You Want

Welcome To The Erwin and Geupel Family Album
SEARCHING - (name search) We want you to quickly and easily find whomever you're serching for, - and here are three easy ways to search this web site.

(1) - The search block is located on the HOME page, or you can use this one. Type the name you're searching for in the block and click the SEARCH button. Another screen will appear with the results of your search.
  SEARCH OUR FAMILY ALBUM
  AND FIND YOUR RELATIVE

PICO Search Engine

(2) - The SURNAME LIST provides another SEARCH option. Every screen displays the SURNAME LIST that you see on the left. Each name on the list is a link that, when clicked, will take you to the family's portion/page of the web site

(3) - Each family's page has PARENTS and CHILDREN listed by name. Most of these names are links. Click on the name to open that family's page. In this manner, you can navigate up and down the family tree through past generations.
TIPs - The black box (on the right) is called FAMILY SECRETS and it provides secrets/hints that help you to use our Family Album. (Sorry, these aren't skeletons in the family closet) These are hints/tips that explain the function of the site and how it operates. It will also aid you in your search of people whom you want to find, - places where you want to go, - and/or information for your research. The FAMILY SECRETS black boxes are located in random spots throughout the Family Album.
FORMAT - Each screen of our family album is user friendly, especially for us old folks. Our vision isn't what it used to be and larger lettering helps to read without difficulty and eye strain.

Lettering size (or what's called Type Font) is larger than most web sites so that reading the text areas are made easier. Another method used to help readers is
BROWN COLORs and GREEN COLORs and RED COLORs and many other bold colors that emphasize or highlight the text type font of significant information.

The practice of LARGE and
colored text letters aren't approved by most professional Webmasters' who utilize every portion of the screen with tiny text letters in order to preserve space (and, space is money.) But, - we, (at the Erwin And Geupel Family Album) - hold the family viewers' health and interests in mind, rather than try to duplicate other web sites.

You'll get used to these changes and hopefully find them an improvement that allows you to enjoy our family album for longer periods of time and with less eye strain.
Pages of our family album appear to be those of old scrapbooks used years ago. Adhesive tabs held the four corners of a photograph in place on thick gray paper of these old family albums. And, our family album introduces every family member, in that same manor.

These same ICONs are shown below with a description that identifies each screen and their contents

- Home Page of the ERWIN AND GEUPEL FAMILY ALBUM - Welcome to the Family Album of the Erwins and Geupels. The Home Page displays family photos in a revolving slide show presentation against a background of Palo Pinto, Texas circa 1880s. Over 200 photos are periodically changed in a random selection each month.
The background photo is that of Mr. Wilborn W. Fleming (who is standing in the center) in front of his business, The Fleming Livery Stable. Mr Fleming's home still remains in use on the west side of the Court House square and is now the Palo Pinto Cafe. (It is not known if the Fleming family is a relation.) Photo is courtesy of the 101 Ranch - Jim Sowell collection.

Please continue to donate, it's our only source of funding. - THE NATTY TATTLER - Read all the news that is the news in Natty Flat, Texas. A monthly newsletter about the family and the latest excitement in Natty Flat. Once upon a time it was a small village where a school, a grist mill, and a general store thrived in the Live Oak Community of Palo Pinto County, Texas. Founded by family members in the late 1800s there's nothing left of the old community.
Those family members who remain in Natty Flat poke fun at ourselves for the country 'hay-seed' style of rural living we enjoy and that others envy. So, join in the fun and submit your no-cost FREE subscription to the NATTY TATTLER.

- Blog the Family Album. (Blog - is short for Web Log) Speak your mind on subjects about the family. Ask questions and converse with family members from all across the world. The Erwin and Geupel families enjoy talking and this is where we do it best, right here on the family Blog.

- Gather around the fireplace, Kiddies, its story time. Favorite family stories are told in the old tradition of the Erwin and Geupel families.

- When we have a reunion, we have a PARTY! - And the party baloons symbolize another tradition of the Erwin and Geupel families. Fond memories are brought to mind with a feeling of close relationships in the family that only a good REUNION gathering can provide.

- Home movies of the Erwin and Geupel families. These are collections of old home movies that date back to when movies were first made, some as old 1955. More current movies show 50th Wedding Anniversaries and much more.

- The LANDRETH CEMETERY is an old cemetery where beloved family members are buried. Their graves are lovingly manicured and cared for by their descendents (members of the Erwin and Geupel Family Album) on property surrounded by old family farms and ranches. A reunion was held on the 9th of June 2007 with a surprisingly large attendance at the cemetery grounds. See pictures of this reunion and a listing of all those buried in the cemetery.

- Send an Email to the Webmaster. If you have requests, comments, or just want to report a broken link, your Email would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Randall Scott Erwin
